Morning guys,
Apologies I haven’t been around much. I’m thinking I’ve bitten off more than I can chew as I also write on other blogs and with work and training, it’s starting to take it’s toll!
Anyway, I’m delighted to say I completed the Pier to Pier again on Sunday. It was a fantastic run, beautiful scenery and I beat my time from last year. When I say beat, I really mean smashed! I knocked a whopping 4 minutes and 28 seconds off my time. I’m very, very happy about this and it’s proves my training over the past year has been worth it.
Also this year, I ran my first half Marathon. It went well but I think it’s a little too far for me. Other events this year include the Blaydon Races, Bamburgh 10k, Hamsterly 10k and Total Warrior. I was supposed to be doing a stage in the Great British Relay too but it has been postponed until next year. I’m really excited about getting a few more 10′s under my belt so I’ll be back soon to tell you all about them.
Bye for now and keep up the training. Two weeks out of the gym can sometimes set you back six. That’s my advice for the day!
